How to Charge Your Electric Vehicle in Public
Start Charging
Plug in the Charging Cable
AC: You will likely need the Mode 3 Cable supplied with the Vehicle
DC: Will have a cable on the charger, this can be quite heavy, handle with care
Authorise your session to start the charging, there are various options.
- Swipe the RFID Card
- Use the App to do a Remote Start (unit must be online)
- Scan the QR Code, this will either, do a remote start (charger online), or request a PIN, that you can use to do an offline charge.
- AutoCharge, if your vehicle has being correctly registered, then the action of connection will start the change. Only works on GridCars New DC and the unit must be online.
Stop Charging & Unplug
Stop the Charge
- Press “Stop” on the charger and swipe the Card (some chargers only need the Swipe).
- Remote stop with the App
- If the charge has ended, then charge will stop automatically.
- In case of an emergency, you can also press the Emergency Stop.
